My image of a white ibis taking a shower at Lake Eola Park in Orlando, Florida, was published in The Guardian newspaper’s The Week in Wildlife on October 3, 2025.
White ibises are skilled foragers, using their long, curved bills to probe shallow water and muddy ground for crayfish, insects, and small fish. At Lake Eola, they often mingle with swans, ducks, and turtles, turning the park into a surprising wildlife haven in the middle of downtown Orlando.
