About Ospreys
Ospreys are often called “fish hawks” because fish make up almost their entire diet. You’ll usually see them circling high above the water, scanning for movement, then diving feet-first with incredible speed and precision.
Their nests—big, bulky platforms of sticks—are easy to spot in trees, on poles, or even on man-made platforms. Orlando Wetlands Park is one of the best places in Central Florida to see them in action.
