I’m honored to be published once again in The Guardian’s This Week in Wildlife (July 25, 2025 edition).

The featured image captures a group of sea lions lounging along the rocky shoreline of La Jolla, just north of San Diego, California. This stretch of coast is home to a large colony of sea lions—charismatic and often playful, yet facing growing pressure as urban development and tourism encroach on their habitat.

La Jolla’s sea lions are a source of both wonder and controversy. While they draw countless visitors, their presence also sparks ongoing discussions about conservation, coexistence, and the responsibilities we share in protecting wild spaces.

As always, I’m grateful to The Guardian for continuing to spotlight wildlife stories that matter. You can view the full feature in the July 25 issue of This Week in Wildlife on their website.
